Our pre-school room focuses on preparing the children ready for their transition to school.
Children cover all 7 areas of learning and they are encouraged to take part in more challenging and problem solving activities.
Children have access to their own play area and enjoy our outdoor curriculum which includes sports days on the field, trips to the library, visits to places of interest, caring for the nursery chickens.
We have our own nursery vegetable patch where the children enjoy planting seeds, watering the plants and picking the fresh vegetables each year.
The children are encouraged to work with the cook to help prepare and cook with any fresh produce/ eggs they have collected.
We also have regular visits from outside professionals such as dentist, opticians, farmers, vets etc.
Daily activities are based around the children’s interest and regular feedback is given by the keyworker to the child’s carer in the form of daily chats, emails, photos, newsletters, parents evenings.
